Turnkey System Delivery

From idea to production — Nordbo Robotics guides you every step of the way.

Stage 1 – Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) (1–3 weeks)

Every project starts with clarity. A short pre-project ensures deliverables match expectations across all stakeholders. Conducted at our HQ in Odense, Denmark — with customers invited to review and approve. This is where risks are eliminated early. By simulating and validating the process upfront, you ensure investments are aligned with real-world results.

What’s included:

  • Scope Definition – Map the exact application, parts, and processes.
  • Concept Design – Identify the right tools and create a clear plan.
  • Preliminary Engineering – Simulate on our in-house robots to verify feasibility.
  • Workshops & Knowledge Transfer – Our engineers collaborate directly with your team to understand production challenges, quality standards, and capacity targets.
  • Process Benchmarking – We evaluate alternative methods (manual vs semi-auto vs full auto) and show where automation gives the strongest ROI.
  • Data Capture & Analysis – Where relevant, we collect sample data (CAD, images, cycle times, quality data) to verify feasibility.
  • Cost Estimation – Economic analysis and budget overview.
  • FEED Package Delivery – Results reviewed and next steps aligned.

Stage 2 – Procurement, Assembly & FAT (2–3 months from PO)

This is where the concept becomes reality. Nordbo coordinates system design, sourcing, and integration — so you only deal with one responsible partner. Your system is built together with our trusted OEM partners. Once assembled, it undergoes a Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) to confirm all requirements are met before shipping.

A standard system includes:

  • Kawasaki 25kg industrial robot
  • Mechanical structure with fixtures & full safety casing
  • End-of-arm-tooling
  • Compliance solutions
  • Nordbo software & operator interface
  • CE marking

Optional add-ons: Dust extraction, automatic tool/abrasive changes, advanced fixations, turntables for larger parts, and more.

The process:

  • System Engineering – Selection of robot, tooling, fixturing, and compliance setup tailored to your parts and processes.
  • Assembly & Integration – In cooperation with our machine-building partner, ensuring industry standards and CE compliance.
  • FAT Preparation – Before your team visits, we test real customer parts on-site to demonstrate target cycle time, quality, and repeatability.
  • Customer FAT – You and your stakeholders are invited to Nordbo HQ to sign off the system before shipping.

Stage 3 – Deployment, SAT & Training (~1 week)

Here’s where the solution becomes part of your production. On-site installation is carried out by Nordbo Robotics engineers. We then run a Site Acceptance Test (SAT) to validate performance benchmarks.

Finally, we provide comprehensive operator training, enabling your staff to run the system independently — and train new colleagues in the future.

The process:

  • Installation & Integration – Physical setup of robot cell, calibration, and PLC/line integration.
  • Site Acceptance Test (SAT) – Running real production parts under actual factory conditions to validate everything works.
  • Training & Certification – Operators learn not only how to run the system but also how to create new programs (via Mimic, CAD/CAM, or manual teaching).
  • Ongoing Support – Option for service contracts, remote support, and continuous improvement workshops.
